Hooray! My comic story has been given the go-ahead. I am very, very excited, partly because this is the first comic I've worked on and partly because the franchise in question is of absolutely totemic importance in the history of British science fiction more generally. So thrilled that they liked my idea. Now I just have to write the script. *Gulps*

Actually, it's been a good few weeks workwise. Looks like I'll definitely be attending the Continuum 8 convention in Melbourne in June so I'm excited about that and the panels they've got planned. I'll be doing a keynote for the University of Western Sydney's forthcoming postgrad conference and then I'll be speaking at a couple of conferences in Europe, so I need to get those papers together. In addition to the three academic publications below I've had some good news on two more which are in the pipeline. Oh, and there's other stuff too, but I've run out of space. It's all gone a bit mad, really, but I guess that's good... :)
